Landon, I have some python code that I use to write world files for images.
For the world file, you need the coords of the upper left corner and then the scale of the image in the x and y directions. (if you are rotating the images, you need some more info...) If you have coords for two corners, you can likely derive the scale and rotation angle. I wrote the module to roughly georeference air photos where for each image, I only have and XY and the altitude. I am happy to share it if you are interested. David.
