I figure you should take it as a complement that Anselm wanted to go right? I'd suggest Anselm instead of trying to get these guys to figure out if they're a commercial conference or a community event you run your own... it could be some kind of wherecamp where people just turn up and talk about what they feel is important... you could do it this coming weekend or something... maybe somewhere close to where you live?
