I noticed that the pre-first molt Schimmels I have gotten from Evon (well,
the one I got from Evon was in the process of molting) & from James Starr
(Ridge Road gerbils -- he's not on the list) are much lighter in appearance
than the pictures on Vera Bruckman's pages. Maybe it's the light, or the
difference between cameras (I'm using an Olympus D220L digital camera)? I
have two silver schimmels, which I understand is from gg. Does the c[h] or
c[b] gene have any effect on schimmels that you know of? I was also
wondering if there might be some small difference between A- & aa schimmels?
