I have a question about the C and the ch markers. I would assume that
the C is dominate. Yet, according to the Genetic Predictor if one parent
is a CC and another is a Cch the ch marker can be passed on to off spring.
For example I have a female Argente Cream A-CchE-G-pp and a male Lilac
aaC-E-G-pp. According the predictor they can have either Argente Cream or
Golden pups. Yet, it does not say that they can have dove pups. In
the last litter they had, now seven weeks old, two of the pups are quite a bit
lighter than the lilac dad. I thought that they were doves. However,
the predictor does not mention that they can have doves.
If it is possible for the ch to be passed on to a cream offspring, can it
also be passed on to a dove offspring?
Thank you,
Janet
