Congrats on your schimmels! I have several and they
are lovely! What I have found is that a single ef gene
lightens but doesn't fade it entirely. There is a
picture of a DEH w/single ef gene on one of the Karin
Van Veen boards, and it has been reference recently
during the original posting for the "Honey Cream needs
its own name" if you want to see it.
I have an ef black that is paler than a regular black,
but not as light as a slate.
My ef grey agouti is very silver, much prettier than
the pictures of grey agouti on the boards.
Enjoy them and let me know what direction you take
them in!
