Have you seen the quality of TV programming in Italian and German? THAT is why they want English content, and also why their own content is not worth protecting.
Yes, although only FTA. I don't agree that it is all bad or even mainly bad, and in German the choice is wide. However if there is such an EU-wide demand for English language television let's fund it on an EU-wide basis.
