yes the combo box has keydown and key also mouse enter and exit. You
could set it to any key value you wish. As long as it does not
conflict with a global apple key set.

Not sure that helps, but it could at least be a start--if you can
figure out
how to simulate key presses. I'm pretty sure simulating key
presses can be
done with declares.
