I should have time to build and test on XP this upcoming weekend.
My previous build[1] was somewhat earlier in the recent commit frenzy.

Some initial comments & questions regarding the Windows Wiki edits re. the IEEE math libraries:
"
" As of this writing, the IEEE math libraries are now
" part of the ghdl distribution.
" Their installation is yet to be tested under Windows.
"
As I mentioned in my message[2] of Jan. 10, the Windows build infrastructure was never updated to include the IEEE math libraries.

Until/unless this happens, it would probably be best to leave my original wiki instructions for manually adding and analyzing the IEEE math libraries.

At this point, would it be OK to push an update to the translate/mcode/windows/complib.bat file to the release branch to fix up the libraries for a hypothetical 0.31.1 ?

Or should any such changes be pushed only to the trunk, for the next release?

I must admit that I am somewhat confused, in that there never seemed to be a stable RC1/RC2/Release progression, to allow time for testing on all OSes prior to the final release tag being applied ? (this is not intended as criticism, but only as a statement of my confusion about the release process)

I wanted to upload it, test it on a couple of computers and announce it
immediately; however life intervened, so I apologize for the delay!

That means we can (slightly) simplify the build instructions : I'll
start moving the current Wiki pages (which refer to the repository) to a
new "developer access" section where people can refer to them if the
simpler process fails (or if they need the latest snapshot).

I have updated the Wiki pages starting at
https://sourceforge.net/p/ghdl-updates/wiki/Installing%20ghdl/
with (slightly) simplified build instructions for the 0.31 release.

The original pages are still there, slightly further down the page.

I have added simpler Windows and FreeBSD Wikis but am unable to actually
test them :
https://sourceforge.net/p/ghdl-updates/wiki/build%20mcode%20ghdl-0.31%
20windows
and
https://sourceforge.net/p/ghdl-updates/wiki/FreeBSD%20Instructions%20for
%20ghdl-0.31
so I would be grateful if Brian and Adam could give them a check and
make any corrections necessary...

Thanks,
- Brian
