The option "Select > None" is disabled. So, i guess there is no selection.

Where/what is this?

I did this. It still did not work.

All 3 channels are selected. I did not change it before, anyway. So, no
change.

Yes, they are (and were before, since i did not touch it).

Anyway, i confirmed it, now.

It is already in RGB.

Surely it was not pressed. I checked for that yesterday, during my tests
and the video making, at least.

Can you give me instructions for that? The error about babl was one that
i did not know how to solve, yesterday. There is a libbabl package
installed, and no package named just babl to install.

Is it hard? Or is it that big, enough to make a note about it? I guess
making a checkout is not anything really special. But can i choose the
different path of downloading the source packages distributed as tar.bz
(or similar) files?

And the guess i just made, in the previous paragraph, smells wrong. The
checkout 2.10 command will change something, right?

I am attaching the file of the tests i have been doing for this problem.
I used it for the video too. It is small, anyway.

Reading and testing things for this answer, something strange happened:
a source cloning point appeared. I could clone the image from there, as
usual. But i took some minutes and several tries to discover what i did
to change the source point: ctrl+leftAlt+click. Why did this change? For
a suggestion in a forum, i searched all the Gimp shortcuts yesterday.
None were conflicting. And today, the only detail i see to change in
Edit > Keyboard shortcuts is C, the key to activate it - nothing about
changing the keys/things to use it.

So, the problem is "solved". The tool can be used, now, as before. But
with ctrl+left alt, instead of just ctrl. Can i change this? There is
nothing using ctrl+clicks here, i think. No software i use all the time,
and nothing in the window manager either.

Thank you a lot for this detailed answer

p.s.: Liam, you do not need to reply directly to my address. Messages to
