Part of #1773. # Rationale for this change PRs targeting release branches (e.g. `branch-54`) currently get no build or test CI, and merges into them never run the release build. `ci.yml` only triggers on `pull_request` to `main` and `release.yml` only on `push` to `main` (plus tags), so the only workflow that runs on a release branch is RAT. #1772 merged into `branch-54` without any build or tests running. # What changes are included in this PR? - `ci.yml`: also trigger on `pull_request` targeting `branch-*`. - `release.yml`: also trigger on `push` to `branch-*`. GitHub reads workflow definitions from the branch the event occurs on, so the change must be on `branch-54` itself to take effect for PRs targeting it. #1774 adds the same change to `main`. # Are there any user-facing changes?
