Hi folks. I'm considering ordering glasses online and am currently doing research to find out whether this is the best option for me.
One thing I'm looking at is whether the retailers will send a package to me via U.S. Postal Service and just leave it in my mail slot at my apartment building without requiring that I sign for it, the reason being that I probably won't be home to sign for it. Of course most packages shipped via USPS do not require a signature and are left in the mail box but with a specialty item like glasses, they may require delivery confirmation. I've contacted a couple online retailers about this and one said that a signature is required while another said that a signature is required only if you live in an apartment. I'll contact more. For those of you who have ordered one or several pairs from different retailers, what has been your experience as far as whether USPS will leave your glasses package without requiring confirmation of receipt? If you could list retailers who do not require it, I would appreciate it. Thank you. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Check us out at the oft-updated http://glassyeyes.blogspot.com!
