Hello everyone:
My company is implementing GLPI, and as one of the people
responsible for getting it set up, I had some questions I'd like to put
forth and see what kind of a response I got. Thanks in advance for any
assistance I get.
1. In GLPI, when entering dates, how do I disable the calendar and
force the user to actually type the date into the edit box? Currently
the edit box is read only, and the user must use the popup javascript
calendar. This setup is not accessible, and I'd like to turn it off and
simply enter dates manually. I've searched through settings for this,
but can't find an option to let me change this behavior.
2. We use active directory for authentication. I've configured GLPI to
work with our AD environment, however, users only show up in the users
list once they've logged in. I'd like a way to import all users from AD
into GLPI in one swoop. We will probably not use the helpdesk features
of GLPI, so only our IT department will be logging into the system,
however, I'd still like all AD users in the user database so that
inventory items can be associated to users. I've tried the add users
from external authentication source option under the users section, but
when I enter a login name and click add, nothing happens. I also have a
PHP script that's supposed to do this, but when I run it nothing
happens, no users are added.
3. We use SQL server for our corperate database. It isn't a
requirement, but would be nice if the GLPI database could run through an
ODBC connection to SQL server instead of MySQL. I've not seen how to do
this, is this possible?
Again, thanks for any help I get.
Ryan
