Clearly. Sure.
But why duplicate info? If manufacturer *could* *be* suppliers, why
reenter the same information twice?

Ii is clear that this is a 'no way back' upgrade.
But can i ask for a new feature? ;)
Add a configuration switch (setup.config.php) that simply, for every
enterprise insert/update (NOT delete!) will add/update the manufacturer
table, using the ID as the key, and on the same time, disabling the
manufacturer handling on setup.dropdowns.php (for a sake of safety).
Could be? Thanks.
PS: my 'update script' is simply:
delete from glpi_dropdown_manufacturer where id>40;
insert into glpi_dropdown_manufacturer select id+40, name, NULL from
glpi_enterprises where deleted=0;
and the '+40' is a temporary fix, when i will have some time i do a
mass update of tables to remove this, to have id_manufacturer=
id_enterprise.
