The only reason I use it is Gmail is even worse on the iOS browsers. As you use the app you will find even more desktop features that are missing. For example, there are no formatting icons so forget bold, italics, bullets, etc. I often send emails to groups that I've defined in my Google Contacts. The groups do not come up in the iOS app, so I have to do all group emails from my desktop PC.
