I see the light on when the lid is closed as well. The ec version for the one I have is PQ1D09.Normally it means your kernel does not have the power management built-in or you did not load the necessary module(it used to be called apm-emulation.ko but I am not sure for lastest kernels)I also notice that when trying to use apm to put the machine into sleep mode (apm -s), apm gives an error:"Cannot open APM device: No such device"
apmd seems not to run, even manually (/usr/bin/apmd), and there seems not to be a mode to launch the daemon in the foreground. The only clue in /var/log/daemon.log is the line something like:"apmd[xxxx]: main(): open() failed: No such device" /Lars On Sun, 27 Dec 2009, Hongbing Hu wrote:means that the backlight is not closed. Could you tell me which ec version is your machine? PQ1D27 has added this function. PS: Get the ec version # cat /proc/cmdline output likely: EC_VER=PQ1D26_______________________________________________ gNewSense-dev mailing list gNewSense-dev@nongnu.org http://lists.nongnu.org/mailman/listinfo/gnewsense-dev
