I had installed SuSE 6.3 shortly after it came out as an upgrade from
SuSE 6.2. The only issue I had was with fonts. SuSE 6.3 uses XFree86
3.3.5 . Most everything is ok, but with Netscape, the standard horizontal
rule comes out a a sparsely dotted line. Likewise, the text cursor, which
should be a dumbell comes out as about 3 or 4 dots. While Netscape is
the primary problem, there are a couple of other symptoms. One is thst
on some scroll bars, the background, instead of being a solid color, has
some garbage. I have reinstalled X from the SuSE CDs. I have all of the
english and european fonts (100 and 75) installed. I had thought that I
might have some corruption since my 8.4GB drive has a habit of going
offline. (I have an RMA from WD and am waiting for the replacement).
Otherwise SuSE 6.3 upgraded flawlessly.
