About two weeks ago when we (SLUGs) were helping NHCTC clean house we piled
~ten 386/486 computers in room 7A that were destine for the dumpster. I
don't think that they are even Y1K compatible. The dumpster was full so we
just left them in the corner. They also had a few OLD 14" monitors that
needed to be drop tested so that they would have an excuse to toss them
also. Feel free to call Chris Cenyon at 603-334-6306 and ask him if they
have taken out the trash yet.

Subject: Any old computers ??

People,
Are any of the companies you work for, with, or know about, throwing
out any old computers? Whether for Y2K upgrades, faster desktops,
or any other reasons?
We are putting together a plan for old 386s, 486s, or even Pentiums.
We will pick up the computers, or have them delivered.
Correctional Industries, inside the State Prison, will put Linux in them,
and the computers will then be sent to schools, homeless shelters,
Mental health peer support centers, and maybe other non-profits.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
TIA,
Bob Sparks
