Back when I installed my Athlon 700MHz box, it didn't have
a SCSI card. Last night I put in the Adaptec 29160 I finally
bought. It sees it during the BIOS mumbling, and I can load
the driver manually after it comes up with 'insmod aic7xxx',
but it won't do it itself, even if there are devices on the
bus.

I did a 'modprobe -c' and noticed two interesting lines:

  alias scsi_hostadapter aic7xxx
        :
  alias scsi_hostadapter off

The first was added to conf.modules; the second is coming from
I don't know where.

How can I get this loaded automagically during boot? I'm still
new to this level of Linux sysadm stuff (T64U is a different story).
Please tell me I don't need to rebuild my kernel; the one time I
tackled that, I was daunted by the dozens of questions asked to
which I had no inkling of an answer..
