  A lot of these companies have a fairly unremarkable product, and the only
thing protecting them from being reverse-engineered out of business is the
fact that they don't publish specs for their products.  I guess they figure
lawyers are cheaper then designing a unique product.  Not a very good way of
doing business, in the long run...
