Really? Does it correctly handle newly added files in renamed directories? Yes. Oh, you mean during a merge (as opposed to a checkout or update)? There is a bug there, duly noted, and likely to be fixed soon. That particular bug has appeared and disappeared once or twice in the past, as I recall -- evidently the current code is a touch fragile in that area. There is a difference between Arch which has that "inexact patching bug" (which will be fixed) and systems that, at their core, aren't built for this sort of thing in the first place.
