There seems to be a misconception here.

BazaarNG is much closer to Mercurial than to Darcs. Actually,
model-wise, BazaarNG and Mercurial are pretty much exchangeable. I
suspect the (publicly conducted) BazaarNG design phase was quite
influential to Mercurial.
