I'm not that sure that we want to leave TeX. For the music itself,
it could be nice to skip one step in the processing, but when it
comes to front pages, page heads and foots, titles, combining
several movements in a single PS-file with subtitles for each 
movement a.s.o. it will be very difficult to give sufficient 
flexibility without implementing a new TeX/LaTeX. Of course, anything
can be done in Postscript but you don't want to do it by hand.
As long as the music fits into one page, we can generate an EPS
file, include it in a LaTeX file as graphics and do anything we want, 
but most pieces don't fit on a single page.
