Well, if you use mudela-book you can change the margins, and change
the titles, tagging, page numbering, and the like. And you can change the
font size if you want it bigger. Personally, I found mudela-book very
liberating. The only possible drawback is that you need to know a little
TeX/LaTeX. However, I knew nothing about either until I started with
mudela-book. Note: The best book on TeX is Knuth's "TeXbook". As for LaTeX,
I don't know.
