While we're really on the run now to polish the development branch to become a 
shining 2.6 
release, I'd like to draw some attention to the 2.4 branch...

The last 2.4 release was in April (2.4.13). Since then there have been a couple 
of fixed that 
were backported to the stable branch, that never got released (except perhaps 
in the Quarz 
builds).

Some of them may be important:
- glib 2.36 compatibility
- the memory leak in our regex usage (see bug 
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=712278)
- Colin asked for a possible backport of the libxml gzip bug
- ...

Given that not everybody will switch to gnucash 2.6 at once (for a variety of 
reasons), I think it 
would be appreciated if we did another 2.4 release.

Quick poll:
- do you agree ?
- if so, when should we do it ?
- and is there something that you think should still be backported before the 
release ?
