If this is the case then it may be that you are not assigning the transfer account befor committing the transaction with the return key. If no account has been assigned to th seoncd line of the transaction it will be automatically assigned to the Imbalance account, the purpose of which is to alert you that nyou need to assign an appropriate account to that second split.
