Well, there are two categories of “other software”: Outside stuff that works
with GnuCash data in some way and stuff that GnuCash uses. I trust that Liz
isn’t planning to shut down Bruce Schuck’s announcements and support of
Finance-Quote, nor Benoit Gregoire’s occasional (OK, pretty rare) posts about
libOFX or Martin Preuss’s also rare posts about AqBanking.

The outside stuff category has generally been reasonably positive. Ngwei Fett
wrote the original GnuCash-for-Android program as a Google Summer of Code
project. Sebastien de Menten used to be active here supporting his Piecash
python ibrary for working with GnuCash SQLite files, and others still suggest
it from time to time. There was a fellow who maintained a set of added reports
that some people found useful, distributing updates as attachments to posts.

Regards,
John Ralls
