This has to do with NVIDIA graphics cards and discrete graphics.

My System specs (now also tested with GnuCash 5.17): Kernel: 6.8 Distro: Linux Mint 22.1 Xia base: Ubuntu 24.04 noble Kernel: 6.8.0-142-generic Desktop: Cinnamon v: 6.4.14 Display: x11 server: X.Org v: 21.1.11 Old graphics card, NVIDIA GeForce GT 610, using open-source nouveau driver. The app crashing example below is in a Wayland session using the proprietary driver: https://lists.gnucash.org/pipermail/gnucash-user/2026-September/121825.html Operating System: Kubuntu 26.04 LTS Kernel Version: 7.0.0-34-generic (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 8 × Intel® Core™ i7-6700 CPU @ 3.40GHz Memory: 16 GiB of RAM (15.5 GiB usable) Graphics Processor: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 745 NVIDIA Driver Version: 580.178.04 On both systems reports were able to run using: WEBKIT_DISABLE_DMABUF_RENDERER=1 flatpak run org.gnucash.GnuCash Issues in both Wayland and x11 sessions with app crashing, blank or corrupted reports.
