Democracy in Goa is alive and well.

Democracy offers several advantages that contribute to itspopularity as a form
of government.  Democracies allow people tobecome personally involved with
their government. Since the government is underthe control of the people, each
individual has the chance to decide their fate.
The Lok Sabha election on Tuesday witnessed a 75.20 percent voterturnout across
both Lok Sabha seats in the state of Goa. The electoral fervorwas particularly
notable in North Goa, where polling reached 76.54 percent, andin South Goa,
where it stood at 73.90 percent.

Breaking down the figures further, certain constituencies emergedas the
vanguards of voter engagement.
