Hi everybody, I just want to tell all of you(wherever you all may be) that I'm new on this list. I have never been in Goa in my life, am thinking on coming over this year or the next, we'll see. My grandfather (Armando Duarte and his brothers and sisters) were Goans who finally found their ways all over the globe. Some of their relatives still live in Mapusa and Porvorim and I only recently got in touch with them. Whenever I have some time I try to find out more about my family, where do they come from, who were they, ... Is there someone who can tell me where in Goa I can do some research regarding this search? What for information can be found in the Xavier Centre for Historical Research? Another thing: I read about a Lambert Mascarenhas award: who was or is this Lambert Mascarenhas?
