Since when is politics not a part of Catholicism. The situation is much better now
(though not totally eliminated) wrt sexual mores. Today Popes do not beget children
and do not have armies to lead but they a adept at keeping the Papacy white, Italian
and pro-West. Remember the time when Cardinal Spellman used to travel to Viet Nam to
encourage young kids (including Catholics) to kill Viet Cong soldiers (many
Catholics). Viet Nam is Asia's second largest Catholic country.
I am sceptical and know how the Church runs its affairs.
