All

I remember this day 16 years ago. I do not know how many students/demonstrators
were killed in
Tiananmen square by Chinese troops. The estimate is at least 3,000. For me,
the most memorable
image was a student waving down an approaching tank. I wonder what happened to
him. Every year,
I recall this day of terrible human injustice. Given human history, every day
it seems would be a
remembrance of some atrocity, some grave injustice we have perpetrated on our
own.

In memory and solidarity with those who fight the good fight, especially those
who pay with their
lives. To the 3,000 souls who believed, ever so fleetingly, in freedom, I say,
we have not
forgotten.

Regards,
George
