Cornel,

Growing up in Tanzania, we had to learn the history on the German warship,
the Konigsberg. For those not
familiar with the war theatre in E. Africa, here is a link.

Dear Cornel, Mervyn,
The fighting between German and Portuguese troops in Mozambique
during World War I---and the involvement of Goans---forms part of a chapter
in Tivolem, my novel about Goa. In fictionalized form, of course.

       Regards,
       Victor (Rangel-Ribeiro)
