Yeah, Reena (who works for The Telegraph, Kolkata) understands the
news-making process. My gut level feeling was the same. The problem
with the *big* outstation media is that they decide news priorities
sitting in London, New Delhi, whatever.... Of course, I've written for
some of these too, so I'm not just pointing fingers here.
If NDTV decided it, the "sale" of Goa becomes big news. Fact is that
this has been going on for many, many years. It has been widely
reported on. Many, many reports have come up in papers like the Herald
(or GT) at some points of its history.
