1: By the way , have you seen the debate program on Headlines Today yesterday at 9.30 PM? Or may be you see it on line. I am not sure whether you be able to view in USA? The BJP spokesperson made a FOOL of herself by supporting Mrs Irani on her abilities as a worker and deviating from the main debate 2: The FALSE statement and later for her U-turn made by Mrs Irani is under dispute in India especially by the journalists and Chanel TV's who like to make this issue grand and the public rather enjoying the fun. 3: I made my interference into this , because BJP is crusading with some plans which India is going to face serious PROBLEMS for MINORITIES in near future, hence I decided to attack this small issue which every world leaders should know the difference between Degree and Certificate and that too of short courses. 4: Mrs Irani cannot be TRUSTED anymore in the Ministry of HRD, (Edu) as the world leaders are going to enjoy this kind of her attitude of Indians who cannot administer Indian education and that too in HRD ministry. If a person does not differentiate between Degree and Certificate and later making U-turns, do you think this kind of people should remain in Education field? ARE WE FOOLS in India? 5: I asked to publish my Editors in Goa, my version of attack on Mrs Irani so that she leaves or Modi Govt makes her to LEAVE or give her some other portfolio so that at least BJP keeps India's NAME HIGH in the field of education and India progresses under Modi Government as Congress already faced the dust. *******************************RESPONSE*********************************: Mogal Stephen, a: You are needlessly expending high octane fuel on a non-issue. Everybody makes errors in extempore speech. b: Nothing will change because of this gaffe (which she eventually 'revised') c: Politics is a strange enterprise. d: Think about this: She is Catholic School educated, not an elected representative, criticized Modi for 2003, started her work career at a fast food restaurant ...and is now a Minister in the central govt. Read # b (supra) again. BTW: re: India's NAME in education:- I believe that Indians do very well all over the world, despite the education (troubled by the politics in academia) and despite the fact that Indian degrees have suspect reputations.. BTW 2: A party in power is like a newly married couple. After the initial euphoria, real issues appear. All the exciting 'pre-marital' plans get revised. With the expected difficulties of governance on the horizon, I can see the BJP concentrating on two items (a) Hinduization (b) further destruction of the Congress. The rest.....will be business as usual after the initial shine. I hope my reading of the situation is proved false. Perhaps, I have read too much of Salazar (Portugal) and Videla (Argentina). jc
