It is a stoned lion, FN. Hey, if anyone wants to have a stoned lion at the entrance to their abode, so be it. My experience also recollects that the entrance to the Via Dolorosa is the Stone Lion's Gate, so the stoned lions in Goa may have some religious significance. One last comment, every Africander knows that there are no lions in the jungles of Africa. The lions are all on the savanna. Mervyn
