I do not know on what basis does VM say this. I have seen the objectionable paitings of Husain, and one of them in indeed a nude Sita in a sexually explicit poste with Hanuman. So far we have had arguments like artistic freedom, an eminent artist, etc. Now the goal is again shifted. This is the best way to get a Hindu like me to be a supporter of radical organisations. Incidentally, Sonia Gomes also claims to have seen the painting I am referring to. Her words are: "I once saw a painting of a Hindu Goddess painted by Hussain ( I do not know which goddess it was ) riding on Hanuman's tail." Of course, she does not say that the goddess was nude or a sexually explicit manner. But I am sure that if she saw it again, she would use these words. VM also says: "Husain has a huge number of paintings in a very long, improbable and distinguished career." The protest is against some of his paintings and not against all of them.
