Dear Selma, There is a physician (US based) Dr. Dixit who is a Chitpawan himself. He has organised DNA testing on a good number of Chitpawan families. The sesults of his study were available (gratis) on line

Goa's record keeping is dismal though and it's very difficult to trace these things.
