I am a builder ( a time pass profession) and I have never never paid a farthing to anyone at all.
And I shall never will.

My resolve stays and I have a few projects completed.

My present project - DORA APARTMENTS (opp. Moira Ground) is stalled for occupancy for almost a year because the neighbour there, who has fraudulently taken over the housed property of a priest, now deceased, and who I am shortly evicting thro' a twelve year old civil suit ( as POA) believes that I have done illegalities and thinks I will compromise (I withdraw from the civil suit and he lets me off the hook). He has taken Dayanand Narvekar into confidence enough for him to raise this issue of my 'illegal building' (as he prefers to call it), in the previous assembly session.

I do not indulge in illegalities. Period. On the contrary I take people engaging in illegalities to task. Dayanand Narvekar is free to demolish my building, and I want to see how smart he is at it. Even if he sits on the CMs chair, he will not be able to pull it off. Presently, I am given to understand that my project has reached the precincts of the Honourable High Court, which is a Blessing in Disguise for me, indeed.

One must remember that if one is a regular pointer of fingers at others (which I am and who does not believe in 'Live and Let Live policy'), one must be sainter than the saint. And it pays to be that.

Cheers

PS: If your house is being blocked by a new construction in front, get the services of Dayanand Narvekar to demolish it.

Couldn't we start by all of us just refusing to pay?
PS: In 2010, we could take on the task of making this a reality. The first
step would be sharing information on (i) who are the anti-corruption
authorities (ii) how much they can be trusted (iii) how does one get them to
stir into action (iv) what are the experiences, if any, of those who have
tried this.
