I ate many delectable god sandwiches when I was in Goa a couple of weeks back. 
They are called patollyo in Konknni. They are wrapped in turmeric leaves. The 
outer covering is rice based. Inside there is god dressed with shredded coconut 
and cardamon. The recipe for making them can be obtained at the following link:
