Santosh, As a 'learned' scientist, you should have known that the 'godd' for jaggery in Konkani is spelled with a double 'd' at the end. Perhaps you were deliberately mocking 'God' or you are not 'learned' enough! It's your choice, to come clean and save your credibility.
