From the Konkanni medium school that I passed out, to my knowledge we had at least five batches of students, there might have been more and I can assure you all those students were not jackasses or only tasted success because of the "brought up" marks, many of the those students are doing well as professionals, businessmen and some others are working overseas and competing with the best in the world. Do you mean to say that while we from the Konkanni medium of yester years can stand head to head with the English medium students, today's kids are not good enough to do the same ? I don't mean to say all Konkanni medium students were successful. You will find successes and failures on either side of the fence and that's a fact. I am not against English medium but the excuses that are given to support English are lame and pathetic. We did it, even thought our parents were uneducated and illiterate. Today's children are fortunate to have educated parents and the advanced universe at their disposal. If the majority want to change the MOI, go ahead and do it but do not try to slander and discredit the Konkanni medium students, this is the point I am trying to drive home.
