Dear Freddy,
People like Tony refuse to get into their heads the basic understanding of
what MOI is all about.
They immediately jump to the conclusion that MOI is learning or teaching a
language, either Konkani, Marathi or English to the kids so that they can
get good jobs later in life. What stupidity!
They fail to understand that MOI is a language that the child speaks and
understands perfectly well at the point in time that it comes to sit on a
school bench. That the child has learnt the language from it's first day of
seeing the light of the day and which has taken it 4 or 5 years to master it
in the manner of understanding what is spoken and speaking out what it
understands even before learning to read or write.
For Goans, the language of the child on a percentage of 95 plus is Goa's
mother tongue Konkani.
This is the only language the child does not need to learn at the first day
at school, but understands everything that is spoken or taught to it. That
is education.
This education goes on to make the foundation of that child solidly planted
into the ground. That foundation of understanding will help the child to
find its balance later in life.
These educated idiots must understand that the same child will take another
4 to 5 years to learn another alien language to pour its foundation. By that
time the child is confused and ready to drop out or is rendered ineffective.
Do the Germans, Japanese, Italians, English, who have you, teach their
children in a foreign language in their primary levels? If not, why not? And
do these people not talk any other language as adults? or have they become
useless and unemployed?
The one thing that must be done to these s**theads is to drill a hole in
their brains and pour some acid so that their brains are burnt out before
they go on confusing the next generations.
