I've been reading about the partnership with VMWare to delivery Google App Engine For Business. This product looks like it will address all of the major issues that have kept us off of GAE/J so far (overly restrictive whitelist classloader, lack of relational database).
Is the GAE/J team working on this as an additional offering / evolution of the GAE/J service?
