Instead of using photons for transmission they use tachyons.  

 

I am personally expecting that my experiments with quantum entanglement will
work better, as I don't have to transmit the data simply having it at one
location makes it available at all entangled locations.  Unfortunately the
recent decisions about net neutrality forced me to sit on this for a while
as it requires a great many peering relationships and favors large service
providers who can afford hardware that not only works across infinite
distances, but also multiple dimensions.
