Surprise reasons:
The media didn't mention it during the valuation news, or at least I didn't 
catch it, it was interesting to learn it from a comic
It's interesting to see different uses of appengine, since appengine is 
limited on some aspects
It's good to see others invest a lot in appengine too, makes a relatively 
insane decision more sane

What other major services are there on GAE, in terms of technical 
impressiveness and scale/hype? (Rovio seems to be one, I missed it too, but 
the type of games they make doesn't seem to require too complicated 
backends)
