re: Python 3, we're actively building a new hosting environment that is based on containerized virtual machines, today called Managed VMs. with this new architecture we'll be able to update existing (and build new) application runtimes at a much faster pace. in fact, a Google-provided Python 3 runtime is definitely in the works right now. you can actually run Python 3.x there today using the custom runtime functionality.
