I agree, it has to be something with the watcher. I had seen such an issue in the very distant past with MacOS. The past 6 months I have switched to running the GAE runtime on Linux containers on top of VirtualBox/MacOS and I am very happy with this arrangement. It had a couple of complications to get it right but works very well now. This is the way to go… I need to find some time to write up about it and maybe publish the docker image.
