Google Calendar does not change an appointment's updated date/time
(<updated>2011-06-04T10:57:59.000Z</updated>) or update its eTag if the only
changes made to it pertain to reminders (adding/updating/deleting reminders).
This causes syncing software (such as my app and Google Sync) to skip
appointments that have only had their reminders updated.
This issue has been reported at least twice by others in the following two

These two issues need to be merged into one, and then fixed ASAP. It concerns
me greatly that this issue was brought to Google's attention in October 2007 --
almost 4 years ago. This can't be a difficult problem to solve (treat a
reminder update like an update of any other appointment value) and needs to be
fixed ASAP.
