Greetings Finman, I created a project of mine not long ago in Google Code Project Hosting and www.google.com automatically added my project to the search database after about 5 days or so. I have not given the link to this project to anyone or posted it anywhere, so I believe that indexing was automatic.
Another possibility is that because I made some searches in google.com with my account active in another tab, so the indexer might have "felt" more "compelled" to search for the project :) Best regards and good luck!
