My question is, should I use the version of wine bundled with Picasa
3.0 (with updates 7z'd from a Windows box), or should I install the
newest version of Wine and put Picasa in there? For now, I just take
the Picasa3 folder on a windows box, 7z it, transfer it, and then
chmod the files to match the original Picasa3 directory. Once I
replace the old directory, Picasa runs fine as the new version.

But, am I missing something using a (somewhat) older version of Wine?

Related, I can't tell from Firefox what version of the Picasa plugin
is that I have. Neither can Mozilla's plugin checker webpage. Any
ideas? Is there a new plugin for Linux?

Thanks.
